Media artists worldwide are discovering and investigating the - already no more so very - new mobile devices as a platform for the creation and presentation of their work. Because of its smoothness, its power and high user-friendliness, mobile platform for the time being has become synonymous to iPhone, though many grumble (and not without reason) about the de facto monopoly of the hermetically closed system that our favorite Cupertino toyshop has managed to set in place.
Also we at the ookoi have become - to say the least - highly excited about all the techknowlogy that suddenly, literally, came within our hands: multi-touch screen, location sensitivity, accelerometer, microphone ... And even though some of us certainly are, one does not have to be a visionary to predict that mobile applications are on the verge of becoming a major channel, also for the distribution of music and pure sound.
Recently the ookoi composed and recorded music and pure sound for the original soundtrack of Dick Tuinder's upcoming road-movie "Winterland", and we have decided to make use of the momentum that Sally De Winter's magic and wonder provided us with, to go develop an inter/re/active iPhone application, based upon ookoi's score for Winterland.
And it thus came about that the ookoi - used to doing these things themselves - enrolled in the iPhone Developer Program.
____"Dear Sir, We are in the process of reviewing your iPhone Developer Program enrollment information.

We were sort of surprised that our name was invalid, but gotten this far we just cleared all that had to cleared, accepted all cookies, and then we quit.
Our re:start was flawless.
